What sparked your passion for theatre and how has you journey evolved?
I have been involved in amateur dramatics on and off for over 30 years, inspired early on by watching my father take the stage as the panto dame or villain. Over the years, I’ve developed a passion for singing, dancing, directing, and even teaching within the theatre space.
How has your journey with the Sutton Bridge Players shaped you?
I have been with the Sutton Bridge Players since its inception, performing alongside this talented group and proudly directing two of our pantomimes. I am honoured to now be entrusted with leading this fantastic family — of people, and I am excited to help us grow and flourish together.
What skills and experience do you bring to your role?
I bring experience in singing, dancing, directing, and teaching, along with leadership in theatre. As a teacher, I’m passionate about nurturing creativity and helping others grow in all areas. My enhanced DBS certificate ensures I can work responsibly in the community.

What sparked your passion for theatre and how has you journey evolved?
My love for theatre began after a trip to London with my mum and auntie to see Mamma Mia. I was quite young but I remember it well. Since then I have seen many musicals, pantos and plays and always get excited by the prospect of seeing another one. Being a part of the Sutton Bridge Players has given me the opportunity to be on the “other side” and perform in front of an audience which has fuelled my passion for all things drama even more.
How has your journey with the Sutton Bridge Players shaped you?
I have never performed on stage like I have done since joining the group. I have never even sung in front of people before, so to be able to stand on stage and act, sing and dance in front of people took a lot. But I did it and now I can’t seem to stay off the stage! My confidence has grown massively and I am so proud of myself for taking that very first step out of my comfort zone and turning up to an audition.
What skills and experience do you bring to your role?
I have been the groups treasurer since May 2023. Before I took on this role I had no previous experience of being a treasurer as such, however I have always been a trustworthy colleague, employee and friend when it comes to managing and handling money.

What sparked your passion for theatre and how has you journey evolved?
have always been interested in theatre from a young age, stemming from seeing my dad perform in pantomimes (either the Villain or the Dame) and my mother painting scenery and doing makeups.
How has your journey with the Sutton Bridge Players shaped you?
I am one of the founding members and I have loved every minute of being apart of Sutton Bridge Players, from playing Prince Charming to being an Evil Tax Collector, to building the scenery, painting it and putting on shows that are memorable.
What skills and experience do you bring to your role?
I’m an engineer by trade, I designed and built the scenery we use, I enjoyed learning & programming the lighting desk for this year, and looking forward to sharing what I know to others.

What sparked your passion for theatre and how has you journey evolved?
Yes, but it always seemed just out of reach. After we came out of lockdown, I decided to join Sutton Bridge Players. Am I glad I did? Absolutely. I’ve met some lovely people and made new friends.
How has your journey with the Sutton Bridge Players shaped you?
A huge boost in confidence, not just in acting, but also in making creative decisions behind the scenes. As principal designer of costumes , I never imagined I’d be helping shape productions or even be part of the Hunstanton One-Act Drama Festival. But here I am, loving every minute of it.
What skills and experience do you bring to your role?
It’s in training and health and safety which is always useful to have around. I have a wide range of craft interests and can turn my hand to most things, but my real passion is fashion: sewing, design, and drafting patterns are where I truly come alive.

What sparked your passion for theatre and how has you journey evolved?
My love for theatre began years ago as an avid audience member of both amateur and professional shows. Singing in a choir gave me a strong appreciation for performance, but it wasn’t until joining Sutton Bridge Players that I stepped into acting. Since then, combining music with theatre has opened up a whole new creative and rewarding experience for me.
How has your journey with the Sutton Bridge Players shaped you?
Being part of Sutton Bridge Players has really boosted my confidence. I came in with no acting or dance experience and very much two left feet, but over time, I’ve grown more at ease on stage and even started enjoying the movement side of things. With the group’s support, I’m improving every time I perform, definitely an acrobat in the making!
What skills and experience do you bring to your role?
As a consultant in the water and environmental sector, compliance and attention to detail are central to my work and I bring that same focus to my role with the group. I support behind the scenes operations, help ensure we meet our responsibilities, and always aim to listen, understand, and contribute ideas that keep things moving forward.

What sparked your passion for theatre and how has you journey evolved?
My mum used to take me to see musicals at the cinema when I was small. The first one we saw was The Sound of Music in the 60’s. My brother and I used to put on little variety shows for our parents in our bedrooms and I was always in shows and choirs at school. I always wanted to act and sing since then.
How has your journey with the Sutton Bridge Players shaped you?
It’s been great joining the group. I haven’t been part of a troupe for many years because of work commitments. I’d forgotten how much fun it is and I’ve made new friends and reconnected with old ones.
What skills and experience do you bring to your role?
have been Chair of a Parish Council, and Chair of a village hall Committee for many years. I also have experience of being part of local government committees in different capacities. I am currently a Director at the company I work for and I run the Employee Forum. I would like to use my experience to add value to the SBP committee if I can.
