Sutton Bridge Players once again captivated audiences with their latest production, The Adventures of Sutton Bridge Players, written by Damian Woods and directed by Ren Shilcock. From the very start, the praise poured in:
- 🎠Performance Excellence: Every cast member delivered with confidence and poise.
- Jason Carnell, playing Tom, led the dialogue flawlessly and set the tone for a cohesive ensemble.
- Paula, you’re a performer, you have… and you were in the sense of time with a loud and proud liberty to let everybody know—especially just how much work you put into that performance.
- 🎨 Set & Stagecraft:
- The stage-right steps added visual intrigue, and while lighting was simple, it did everything needed to enhance the atmosphere.
- The set was impressive—the sheer volume of cross suggests a sizeable parade came across the river this morning.
- đź‘Ą Teamwork & Talent:
- “There were no weak-links,” Mr. Hayter remarked, highlighting how the group avoided common pitfalls like awkward silences. Every moment brimmed with quality acting.
- 🎬 Direction & Vision:
- Ren Shilcock’s precise direction created what Mr. Hayter called a “mini masterpiece” with “perfect framing for a very entertaining piece.”
